Meet Bear He is a tail wagging, happy, enthusiastic 8 yr old Treeing Walker Coonhound-Labrador mix. He loves to go for walks, catch treats in the air, and enjoys being babied and cuddled. He is a loyal boy who would happily sleep by your feet while you work and then be your walking companion in the evening. Bear is fully housetrained. He is microchipped, vaccinated, and will be neutered before being adopted. 

Bear is seeking a home where he will get regular walks. A physical fenced yard would be needed for Bear rather than a tie-out or invisible fence due to his breed. He also needs a bit of polishing on his basic household manners because he is overly enthusiastic at times. Because of this, we are recommending older kids who are steady on their feet. Bear does love the kids and we would love to see him in a home with some of his own. Bear lived for many years as a solo dog but he also has been really enjoying the company of female dogs in his foster home. We would recommend a meeting with other dogs to be sure they are compatible. Bear is not a good match for a home with cats - he is a little too interested in them.
